Disability Network West Michigan’s ADA Anniversary Party!
The Brewer's Lounge at Pigeon Hill 895 4th St., Muskegon, MI, United StatesDisability Network West Michigan is honored to partner with the Caravan for Disability Freedom and Justice to celebrate the 34th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act at Pigeon Hill Brewing Company!
The Caravan for Disability Freedom and Justice is going be making its way to Muskegon on the day after the Anniversary of the passing of the Americans With Disabilities Act. We are excited to partner with this organization to celebrate the increased opportunities for people with disabilities that were created by the ADA and also to recognize how much more we still need to improve to create accessible and inclusive communities.
Join us at the Brewer's Lounge from 6 - 9 pm. The Caravan will be arriving around 7 pm. We will have brief presentations from Disability Network West Michigan regarding the importance of the ADA and a general overview of the services provided by Disability Network West Michigan. We will also be joined by the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan, who will have information about voting and voter registration. Additionally, the Caravan will have kiosks where people with disabilities can share their stories that will later be added to an online museum and archive.
Disability Network West Michigan will provide a range of appetizers for guests and guests can purchase their own beverages. Pigeon Hill Brewing Company offers a variety of craft beer, wine, cider, mixed drinks, as well as a large variety of non-alcoholic options for anyone who does not consume alcohol.
